Claybook made its way to us, and we wasn't sure what to think at first when looking at screenshots, and the trailer. made us think kids game? Minecraft clone? We quickly learned otherwise once we began to play it. Claybook is something totally different then anything before it. First thing you notice is the beautiful environments. All the worlds are sculpted from clay, and it looks really really cool. There is even a level creator to create your own. What is cool about that it doesn't take a rocket science to do it. It is pretty easy to use, and you can even share your levels with others. There is only around 17 created worlds, but they are amazing looking, and the puzzles are challenging. There are even achievements to make you play things different. I wish there was more levels, but i'm sure once the game catches on there will be thousands of fan designed stages. They all run so well, because they are fairly small in size, and really feels like its running around 60 frames per second because it is so smooth.
If I had to compare it to anything it would be Super Monkey Ball and Marble Madness. Mainly because you spend a lot of time moving balls through obstacle courses, but it is so much more in depth then those two. There is tons of different shapes to control. You find yourself trying to beat the clock, and get your self on the leaderboard. I been watching a lot of speedrun streams, and this feels like that a lot. I see a lot of people gunning for the number one spots on levels. I myself grabbed a number 3 spot on one level, and look forward to improving that today.
I really think most people will enjoy this game. It really feels like a wholesome title you can play with the family. Only complaints I have heard is about the giant boy with a joystick, that is mean't to be controlling the things you move. To me He was really cool, i think it added the toybox feel to it. Sort of like the Toy car racing games. I can't really find anything to complain about with this title, maybe like to have some different music maybe? I enjoyed it, but it stays the same the whole game. That is really nothing at all though. It doesn't effect the addictive and original concept these guys have here. One of the best developed games so far this year, and look forward to seeing where this goes. It is only in the preview state at the moment so see big things in the future for it.

Pros: Original concept
Addictive gameplay
Really fun achievements
Easy to use level creation, and sharing
Fun for the whole family
Cons: Music gets a little repeitive

Overall: 9.8 One of, or maybe the best and most original family friendly puzzlers of this generation. The first can't miss, must play Indie game of 2018.
