Mighty Switch Force Collection

I'm always excited to see a game from WayForward i can say with ease they are one of my top 5 favorite developers and publishers. I don't think I have ever played a game from them I didn't really enjoy. They always have that retro feel, always bright and colorful , and always loaded with content. "Mighty Switch Force Collection" is no different. It has 4 games in one, three and a remaster. Achievement hunters and fans of the series will play both any ways because they are a blast. Even though I see people complaining one of the titles is missing from this collection. it wasn't a major release in my opinion any ways and i don't mind it isn't there. Mighty Switch Force 2 is worth the price alone in my opinion. It's without question my favorite of the franchise.
Mighty switch Force whole premise is you hit a button to make objects appear and disappear. Like you have to jump from a block that is there, and click really quickly to make the block ahead of you appear making the one behind go away. It is fast paced action, and has spot on controls. You won't experience any issues or bugs in a WayForward game ever at least I have never. It gets really difficult to wear your using your switch to control launchers for yourself and launching enemies. It is a lot of really fun action, i know most would enjoy.
The first game you play as a cop, and your prison bus wrecks causing all the female inmates to be freed. You have to collect each on in the levels to exit. There are five hidden through out the level, once you find them all you have to find your security bot to fly to the next stage. All the characters look really adorable, and are just so much fun to look at in game.
The second game you play as a firefighter and your trying to rescue the females. In this game you get a fire hose , and you can use it on enemies and fires. It is without question my favorite. It's just so much fun blasting things with the hose, and i like the enemies look in this game, and hot you can put out fires on them.
The Academy is a multiplayer version. You can also play it alone though. In this one your really small because you see the entire map so you can see your team. The objective is to collect the most females and escape. It is my least favorite of the four, but still a really high quality fun game. Just as a stand alone, I probably wouldn't own it , but in this collection it's a excellent addition.
The other game is the remaster, and it looks great. It's the one I chose to play first. Just to see the upgrade, and WayForward made it look beautiful on this generation consoles. It's loaded with levels, and this entire collection is certainly with the price tag on it, and will keep you busy for hours upon hours. I highly recommend this one to retro game fans. I highly recommend adding any WayForward game to your collection really. Shantae series is my favorite, and if you haven't tried it your really missing out. One of the best modern retro game series I think ever. It really has that SNES/Genesis feel to it so if your fans of those era games it will really satisfy you. The same with Mighty Switch Force. I think speed runners will also enjoy and adopt this title to their libraries, it just begs to be speed ran in my opinion.
Pros: Beautiful Colorful graphics
Adorable Enemies and characters
Fast paced actions with spot on controls
Retro action done perfectly
Loaded with content
Cons: Missing a minor game in the release.
Overall: 8.2 WayForward delivers a perfect remastered collection to the modern generation consoles that can't be missed by retro fans. The fast paced action just screams to be added to the speed runners game library.

Solo Islands of the Heart

Solo is a game where you can pick your sex, and you go on a quest to find out what love means to you. The game asks a lot of questions about love, and what it means to you that are really thought inspiring. Solo doesn't set any boundaries you can love the same sex, the opposite sex it doesn't matter. The game just wants to make sure Love is what drives you, and that love is in your mind and hopefully your heart. The puzzles like love have no real set way to solve them, it is up to you. You help others with love as well. You will come across creatures that have been split up, and can't find their ways back to one another. You build them bridges to be together again, and they respond with love for each, and for you as well. There is many ways to find love from creatures in this game. You will design contraptions to water their flowers, you will find them songs on your guitar, as well as even finding them food. They will reward you with love and admiration. It is all really heart warming, and feels good as you help the creatures of the game.
The areas are really beautiful to look at as well. You will find yourself just sitting back enjoying the areas bright colorful landscapes and blue oceans. Seems like a lot of Merge Games have this feel to them. I was a huge fan of Yonder, and this game took me back to that over and over. The beauty is just hard to look away from. The music is pretty amazing as well. I enjoyed the peaceful sounds that played through out the entire game. Like Yonder I liked you couldn't die as well. There is also so many ways to solve the puzzles it was hard to fail as well. Even though i life I've failed at love many times, in Solo I was able to get it right more times then wrong. Some times you just want a peaceful game to sit back , and enjoy and not stress over. This is one of those games.
I will also say it's a nice game for Trophy/Achievement hunters as well. It might take a few hours, but most the Achievements were pretty simple and hard to miss. I didn't have to go back after completing it but for just one Achievement. I highly recommend this game as you can probably tell. If you have a Switch I would say it is a can't miss title since they aren't really blowing any one away right now with most of their releases. It looks great on the console, and runs really well to. I had no issues with Solo from start to finish, not a single bug to mention. I hope you play it, and discover what love means to you. Then i hope you come back here, and share what you thought of the game. not many people do that, and would like to hear some other thoughts on some of these we review. Well thanks for taking the time out of your day to read this review, and thanks for the support. Give a little to Merge and Gotham Games as well. With a lot of releases of games not really ready for release loaded with bugs and glitches it's good to have Devs and Publishers getting out their art that really makes you really love your purchase, and feel you got what you paid for.
Pros:Beautiful colorful islands and oceans
Really heartwarming and thought provoking
Adorable characters and creatures
Fun and relaxing game play and puzzles
Runs perfectly
Cons: Just wish it was longer, hated seeing it end
Overall: Merge delivers another adorable game, that really makes you think about love. Makes you think what it means to you, and how it drives you if it does at all. You may walk away from Solo feeling like you like being Solo in life, but you won't walk away with out putting great thought into that. You won't walk away with out feeling good, and like you just had the most adorable adventure either.

Hoggy 2 is a game about a a family of slimes that their children are stolen by aliens. You can choose rather to play as the mother or father slime and go on a mission to rescue your children. Your objective is to go into vases that contain a key, and collect all the fruit to be rewarded with it. There are enemies, traps, and puzzles to solve to do so. In the area with all the vases are doors blocking you from getting to the next area. You have to get so many of the keys to open that door. It's loaded with content for the value. For a game that you paid only five dollar for you get 200 levels. So it is going to keep you busy for some time. The puzzles really make you think, so you will be kept busy by this game for hours. There is also a kids version as well that is shorter and easier.
The game looks great. It kind of reminds me of a modern Bubble Bobble, a game that meant a lot to me as a child. like Bubble Bobble the levels are bright and colorful. They make you feel really good, and find a lot of enjoyment when solving the vase's puzzle and getting the key. Also like Bubble Bobble you also collect fruit. The characters, and enemies are all really adorable and fun. The music is a lot of fun as well. For the second time in two weeks Ratalaika has released a game that takes me back to "Adventures of LoLo" as well. Two of my favorite Ratalaika games to date. I just had so much fun with the last two games from them.
The achievements/trophies are fun and simple as well. you can grab them in about a hour I'd say and still have hours of fun left. This is one of those I think is great for achievement/trophy hunters but also great for every gamer. I can see a lot of people getting into this one, and children just adoring it. I say without any doubt grab this one. You certainly can't find many things in life as fun as this for five dollars. Sorry about the video been in such a rush forgot to put the score, forgot the intro and credits. Just been a really busy couple of weeks.

Pros: Bright and Colorful
Adorable characters
Music is so fun
Some What challenging
Great Value
Very affordable

Cons: Would have liked a couple more bosses.

Overall 8.0 Retro fun that is affordable and fun. You can't find a whole lot of things for five dollars more fun then the fun you will have with most these Ratalaika titles.
