More then likely you have played this before, it was a pretty popular last Gen title. Like everything this Gen that means it gets a remaster. It is without question one of the best environment destruction games of our time. Pretty much if it is on the screen it can be turned into rubble. That is one of the things that makes it a last to play. Doesn't matter what weapon you are using to blow things up, it is so much fun from start to finish. That is really your objective to destroy the EDF, and their stronghold on Mars. It is a open world game where you either rescue hostages, blow up a enemy base, protect a allies base, or just flat out take out a specific number of EDF soldiers. The missions can get a little repetitive at times, but it is really satisfying watching buildings and other structures fall. I think I'm one of the few people who actually like Red Faction: Armageddon better overall though.
The remaster is pretty good. I've saw some reviews act like the remaster was better than it actually is. It is good considering how old the game is, but I wasn't blown away. It kind of feels like the New Dark Souls remaster to me slightly better, but still worth the purchase even though they didn't really add anything to it. The original product is good enough to justify buying the remaster really. The music, the sounds everything feels the same. If you loved the original, your going to love this. If you've never played the original, and love blowing shit up your going to love this.

Pros: Everything from the original returns
Great Story
Awesome Music and Sounds
Best destructional environment to date

Cons: Remaster just average improvement
Repetitive at times

Overall 7.9 Red Faction Guerilla is still the gold standard for destructional environments, and if you have never played it now it is the perfect time.
