In this survival horror title you play as a 35 year old woman named Rosemary which I'm pretty sure is modeled from Jodie Foster. She looks just like her from Silence of the Lambs. You go to this mansion to talk to a elderly man , about his missing daughter. That isn't what you tell him though, you tell him your there because you think you can treat his rare disease. He pretty much sends you away though, so you must return at night without him knowing to investigate yourself. So you return later to the creepy dark mansion with the old man, his nurse, and wife that plays the same song over and over trying to find clues about the missing girl. That is as far as I will go into the story , because don't want to spoil it for you. It does get really crazy though, and keeps you thinking.
Remothered felt a lot like the new Resident Evil game except your a little more vulnerable. Your not weak to the point if your spotted your going to just die. You can run away, and you can pick up weapons to attack back to get away. So it isn't stressful to the point where the stealth is overly difficult. You can also pick up items to throw to cause a distraction to lure enemies to go a different direction. There are also multiple hiding spots so it isn't a real difficult game. Most of the difficulty will probably come in solving the puzzles. There are items hid through out the house that enable you to advance. Like finding a key, or maybe some batteries. They aren't hid away in impossible to find locations though. It all is pretty simple which isn't a bad thing , because most of the selling points for Remothered is the Story and the nervousness you get from sneaking around the creepy location. There are save points on each level of the house that let you get your health back if attacked while saving your game. So Never really feel to out of hope. This is done at mirrors you can't miss them, and it feels really good to make it to one when your struggling with low health. There are also collectibles to collect for Achievements, and the Achievements aren't really that bad either. i think there might be three that you can miss. Most are story related.
I really didn't have any issues with this game. It all ran rather smooth. There are a few places where it may be hard to get the action icon to pop up, but it really isn't anything major. It looks really good. It looks a lot like the recent resident Evil game. The sounds and music are great. They really add to the horrifying experience. Some times they creep you out even more then the actual threat of being captured. It stays fun from start to finish, there is never really any feeling of repetition or hoping you finish soon. You really stay pulled in until the end. I think most fans of Resident Evil, Alone in the Dark, or recent Alien stealth title will love this game. It really has a lot of the same aspects. So if you been waiting for a new horror title I'd recommend this one without question.

Pros: Scary well designed environment
Creepy Music and Sounds
Smooth controls
Great and unique story
Odd and freaky Characters
Tons of Gore
Cons: Nothing that really takes away from the title
If I had say something action icons can be spotty

Overall: 8.1 Fans of survival horror I can see loving this game. From creepy sounds and environments, to being kept on the edge of your seat. Remothered really delivers on what your looking for.
