Heroes Trials is an adventure game that is setup as trials. Basically you have to complete missions before the timer runs out. You play as two seperate characters you can switch between one is a shield and sword user the other a magic user. The magic user can find different types of magics and certain enemies are weaker to different ones, and they are also used to access certain areas. I had the feeling of Zelda: A Link to the Past while playing this. I'm not saying it is on the same level of it, but really has that same feel. It's rather short, and not as in depth. I really enjoyed it though especially at it's price point. It's a fun way to spend a evening. You can knock it out in a evening easy, and grab all the achievements in under a hour probably. It's another Ratalaika Games that start of 2019 as fastest perfect 1000 score. They are pretty much impossible to miss in my opinion. Got them all in the regular course of the game. 

Everything about it has a SNES feel from the look to the sounds and music. All the different areas have a unique look that differs them from one another. Caved, Ice, Lava, field and tree areas.They all have different creatures and music. The boss battles are also very unique, and have different weaknesses you must discover. They aren't super simple, they offer a little bit of a challenge. If you fail your able to start over from checkpoints so it isn't very stressful. Should be able to complete it in under 4 hours even if your not very skilled. It's really your basic RPG stripped down of all the run around side quests. It's short and sweet, and to the point. It's great for a evening of fun, and quick boost to your gamerscore.
So if your into retro old SNES/Genesis RPGs you should grab this. Loaded with hack and slash, magic, NPCs, and dungeons. Should also certainly not miss out on this if your padding your gamerscore. Also this game is really set up for the speed running community. It basically times it all for you. I could see it becoming very popular with runners who are looking for something new, or something this generation to run.

Pros: Great Speed running title
Easy and fun achievements
Nice retro look and feel
Fun and unique boss battles

Cons: Kind of short, lacks depth and story
Could use more side quests and NPCs
No replay value unless speed runner.

Overall: 7.1 Good for a evening of retro fun, and padding to your gamerscore. Not a lot of replay ability though unless for speed running, but at the price still worth giving it a go.
