Enigmatis 3 finishes off the story of the wicked Preacher we been chasing throughout the trilogy. In my opinion it does it very nicely as well. I really feel this may be the best looking Artifex Mundi game to date unless I'm just seeing the power of the Xbox One X in this, but the art is just so great looking. The areas are really bright and vibrant, that is saying a lot considering most of the areas are made of snow. I guess maybe all the white to could be making the colors pop, but Enigmatis is so easy on the eye. The music and sounds are great as well, and as usual love the voice acting. It all really adds up to one of the best from these devs. The story is brought to a end really well with the addition of some adorable, and interesting characters and creatures. Also some pretty good twists through out as well. Won't give away any of those, but you might get thrown for a loop in this one. The puzzles aren't the best we've got yet, might even be some of the easiest really so don't see you doing that minigame skip very often. However there is a new version of the minigame, and it is a match game that is really fun to play. I think I might actually prefer this minigame to the previous ones. Thing I love of about these guys, you don't have to say to much when doing a review for one of their games because it is always the same type quality. Artifex Mundi has really become the kind of hidden object games, and keep releasing quality. Every game might not be a gem, but every game is still really good, and worth the few hours you put into it. Even the bonus chapters deliver, and this one might be one of the more entertaining ones to date. The Enigmatis series isn't even one of my favorite from them, and it could actually be my least favorite. With that said i still enjoy it, and find myself entertained with it. It's still the quality you come to expect from these guys, and well worth the low price tag they put on these games. There are some really cool private investigating moments in this game that have me hoping for a police quest type installment from these guys. Would love to play a cop trying to solve a mysterious murder developed by these guys. I can't say it enough how much I respect Artifex Mundi as a developer, would love to some how be a part of one of their games, like a character development, story, or even voice acting they just seem like a studio that would be a blast to work for, and make stuff that really appeals to me.
Pros: Beautiful Art, maybe the best yet
Really good voice acting
Love the music and sounds
The new creature and characters were fascinating
Bonus story really entertaining
Really fun detective parts
Cons: Puzzles kind of simple this time around
Overall 7.5 A great finish to the story, that brings along really cool characters and creatures.
