Spiral Splatter is a puzzle game like nothing else. The closest thing I think I could compare it to would be Marble Madness. If Marble Madness was hard as hell. Spiral Splatter starts off really simple, and then turns into a ragefest very quickly. The objective is to get a white ball to a target while a clock countdowns at the top of the screen. The better time the more stars you receive for the level, you can get three stars which is the best to zero stars which doesn't really count because the achievements go from finishing every level with one, two, or three stars. So if you get zero yes you can make it to the next level, but costs you gamerscore points in the end. If your an achievement hunter like myself this game is perfect for you. You can gain about 900 in a hour, to get a 1000 you might have to ground out a few levels trying to get that three stars for the final 100 points.
The levels change more than just their colored backgrounds , but they add new obstacles as you go so it feels fresh as you progress. Like there are guns that fire at you, moving walls, buttons you stay on to move walls, and so much more. No level feels the same, and the difficulty really grows as you go. So you really find yourself wanting to finish, and it never feels repetitive. There isn't much to talk about on the music end. It is basically just the same thing throughout the levels but it doesn't grow annoying because it is a faint very quiet sound. You prob have more chance of getting tired of hearing yourself die then the actual music. I wish there would have been a little different change in sounds though. Would have been nice to hear some different sounds on each level since the backgrounds neer really change either. Pretty much just the color of the backgrounds. None of that really affects the overall gameplay though. The actual fun, and overall draw of this game is the challenge and changing of the puzzles and there it doesn't disappoint.
It isn't going to keep you busy for days, I think most will 100% tackle it in a few hours, but that is great. It is certainly enough to make a evening of fun for you, and the price tag is really affordable so you don't mind that at all. The 106 levels will leave you satisfied I believe. You will enjoy a fun puzzler with fluid controls, soothing music, and difficulty that won't send you into a complete rage quit, but not hold your hand either.

Pros: Crisp visuals, and flawless control
Puzzles that make you work a little
Fun and simple Achievements
Cons: Background and music change very little

Overall: 7.2 A really challenging and fun puzzler that doesn't feel repetitive, and makes you enjoy the progression.
