Nightmares of the Deep 2: A Siren's Call

Sorry for the delay on this review know it is a couple weeks after release we are usually deliver in a more timely fashion, but got behind a little. When a game comes in from Artifex Mundi always get a little excited, have had a good overall experience with all of the games they develop. Really enjoy all their puzzler and hidden object games. Always enjoy the great story, the first Nightmares of the Deep is more than likely my favorite. Maybe it is because it was the first one I played. Maybe cause it was one of our first reviews. Maybe it is just that good?
The sequel didn't disappoint, it had almost all the things I loved about the first one. I might have enjoyed the story a little better in the first, but this one is great as well. The voice acting is outstanding, the characters are all likeable and memorable. The villain in the first might have been a tad better in my opinion, but mayor Murray was a worthy adversary as well. Calliope the Mermaid is amazing, glad they added her to the story. The story begins with her being snatched away by Mayor Murray. She is the only one that can put a end to this all, so you must leap into action to rescue her. So your adventure begins. These games are so relaxing, I love to play them when i'm chilling out, and trying to not stress to much over a game.
The puzzles never really get you frustrated. They are challenging, but never to the point where you want to give up on it. If it comes to that the game offers clues, and skips so your not going to get stuck. The art design and animation is so bright and colorful. The game looks really great, maybe the best looking game from them so far. Love the music, and sounds as well. The controls are smooth, and spot on. Only time had any issue with with controls was during Mahjong. I can't wait for the third installment. Both of these have been a blast, and I love how they always throw in the bonus adventure. So when you finish it, there is always more excitement to come. Just like I'm sure there is more to come from this amazing development crew as well.
Pros: Beautiful art, great looking game
Perfect music, and sounds
Great voice acting
Entertaining story
Challenging, but fun puzzles
Collectibles add replay value
Fun simple achievements
Cons: Finished it quite quickly
Overall: 8.1 Another fun, and relaxing adventure. Pirates, Puzzles, Mermaids? How could it go wrong?
