Frontline Zed is a tower defense like zombie game that really delivers a lot of nostalgia. It feels like old flash titles you'd play for free back in the days on your PC. It's super easy and fun to play, you can beat it in just a couple hours. There isn't much story involved your basically traveling across a map holding up in certain areas. You have to survive there for three nights. During the Night your attacked by hordes of zombies with just you, a weapon, and a barrier to protect you. During the day though you have a certain amount of time to either repair, search for grenades, guns, and survivors or all the above. How you use your time is up to you. Each area uses a certain amount of your hours, and repairs you can choose the amount of hours as well. It just depends how much damage your barrier took the night before. If you find survivors they help you that night only thing is they are equipped with the worst gun in the game. I would have loved to been able to equip them with one of the guns in your inventory you weren't using. Maybe this isn't possible because they can die if barrier falls or while searching areas in the day. I guess it could have returned to your inventory or you would have just lost it, so there would be risk involved. I wish this game was coop as well would be a blast to play with a friend either online or couch coop.
It has controller support, and also keyboard. I don't recommend controller kind of hard to aim your gun with it. Mouse is tough enough as some times you miss shots. The controls could have been a little better I guess, but it's not broken or anything. I managed to complete the game fairly easy with them. I liked the difficulty with aiming some times made it feel more realistic. In that situation your just gonna miss some times. I read other reviews and heard people complain about grenades. I had no issue there they went where i threw them, and really helped a lot when shit hit the fan. I loved all the weapon choices. Most of the best weapons are there you just have to find them during the day. There is two walls full of great guns like UMPs, AKs, Sawed off Shotties, UZIs, and so much more. They all had their different advantages and disadvantages as well. They all worked realistically to as their real life counter parts. That was probably one my favorite things all the weapon choices. I'd love if they added even more, and a horde mode where you just took on waves to see how long you could hold them off. I think Frontline Zed is without question worth your time especially if your a fan of tower defense or zombie games. Plus there is two more missions coming as well. Frontline Zed: Origins, and Frontline Zed: Aftermath, are coming as free story missions as well. I know I can't wait.
Is it perfect no, it has issues. Is it fun though hell ya. That is what your looking for in games like this, and it without question delivers a lot of that. I can tell it's going to get a lot better as well. Right now there isn't a ton there and it's a little short, but more is coming. i will return to this review when it does as well to maybe change my score. Right now though the fun is there. It's going to be one of those games that fill a evening with a lot of entertaining excitement, and you'll more than likely put it away until the next story mode drops.

Overall: 6.9 Frontline Zed is a fun way to spend a evening slaughtering Zombies. You will get a few hours of pure enjoyment from this game, and a occasional hiccup that doesn't spoil the fun in any way. Frontline Zed will satisfy a lot of zombie fans, but also leave them wanting a little more from this. Could have really been something super special if launched with all the story levels ready, and the ability to play with a friend.
