Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink
Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink

It's been 4 month since we had played "Nightmares of the Deep" so we were ready for a new title by Artifex Mundi because we enjoy their brand of old school PC point and click adventures.Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink , so was excited to get our hands on "Clockwork Tales". They are a lot alike except this one has a more Steampunk type setting. You build and get a really cute mechanical bird that helps on your adventure, and solve puzzles and find a item mini games the whole way.
I did however prefer the story in "Nightmares" much more myself then this one, and it seems quite shorter of a game but that doesn't take away from the puzzles. I feel this one had more fun and original puzzles, as well as more challenging. There are some that really make you think. So if you enjoyed the item search and puzzles of the first game, you'll feel the same about this one. There is also a bonus mission after completion of the game to add a couple hours of extra gameplay to it.
This is one of those games that just occupy a evening, spend a few hours solving puzzles, collecting a 1000 achievement score and probably really never gets played again, unless it's later on once the puzzles are removed from your mind a little. That is one my few negatives about the game one being story kind of lackluster, and no replay motivation. I'd say one of their weakest installments, but yet still a good enjoyable game. Even Spielberg has a few mediocre movies, so every game can't be the best of the best. "Nightmares of The Deep" was an amazing game all around, so hard to do that every time. Got every achievement on first play through, and been nice if maybe the puzzles alternated in some way to make you want to come back again and again, but if your looking for a game to just make a night of solving puzzles can't go wrong here.
