Grand Prix Rock N Racing

"Grand Prix Rock N Racing"

Once in awhile a indie game comes along that just blows our minds, and makes us appreciate the effort put in by the little guys. A game that makes us say these Indie developers are making better games then the AAA guys. "Grand Prix Rock N Racing" is not that game. Rock N Racing cost a whopping 6 dollars in the Xbox Marketplace, I believe an extra dollar than it probably cost to develop this one. If you have 6 dollars burning a hole in your pocket, and your thinking maybe this will be a lot of fun? It won't go buy a McDonald's value meal instead, it will move thru you faster than these tank like cars move around the track. Either way in the end you'll have the same result your 6 dollars went towards crap, or waste which ever your prefer it's actually not the word i'd use but might be some young impressionable minds reading this review.
The commentary and sounds are God awful just keeps repeating the same things over in a loop, you'll notice that once you realize you had put your controller down to grab a drink, or just cause you were feeling a little sick from spending your money on this game, and you come back and still hear cars going, and announcer talking even though the race has been over for 15 minutes. The cars drive so clunky your going to want to hold down the gas, and go fast but it doesn't work like that you have to really just drive slow, kind of pump the gas, or you'll end up smacking everything in site. The cars try to wreck you as well, so if you don't take your time it isn't going to end in a good result. Once you get the mechanics down it becomes much easier, but yet still not any more fun. There is no customization to the cars, except upgrades which you unlock playing the championship. Which will keep continuing over as new seasons until you finish first in the overall standings. After that there isn't much left except for 4 player couch coop, which you'll never find three other friends that like you enough to waste their time playing a game this awful with you. Also time trial which is nothing but doing the same laps without cars trying to get a certain time, not really worth your time.
Is it the worst racing game ever? I don't think so. is it fun at all? Ya you will enjoy it a little trying to win the Championship and upgrade your car, but after that I don't see you coming back to it at all. I had spurts of fun, but not enough to give this a good review, or recommend it. I was hoping it would at least be as fun as Al Unser Jr, I used to play on the NES, considering it looks a lot like a old Nintendo game with it's graphics, but it doesn't even come close to that. Id crab Super Toy Cars, Beach Buggy racing, just about any other cheap Indie racing game before this one.

Pros: My review is done, and I don't have to play it anymore
Only a few hundred MBs so didn't waste much bandwith
Still better than Tony Hawk 5 barely...
Was a review copy, so I didn't waste my 6 dollars.

Cons: Even though the review is over its still 5 hrs can't get back.
Sounds, Graphics, Design, just about everything.

Overall: 4 Your ever trying to get your children to leave your Xbox One alone, remove every game but this one. Little bit of this they will be begging to go outside and play or do homework
